Bio:

She grew up learning the musical styles of her time. She began piano lessons at 4 and guitar training as a teenager, but always liked singing better than playing. Perhaps that was her heritage showing through -- her grandmother was an opera singer in Europe.

After joining a professional touring band at 19, she discovered her knack for performing popular tunes. Since then she has been lead singer at local venues including Eddie Websters and Ruperts nightclub and has cultivated much younger audiences with the rollicking kids group "Splatter Sisters" trio.

With bands such as Nightrain and Inside Out she has built a reputation for her rock and country stylings. Her recordings have received strong airplay in Europe; one topped the indie charts, while another reached the top 10.

My gigs have taken me to many places that I wouldnt have had a chance to go otherwise," she says, "from snorkeling in Hawaii to rounding up cattle in the mountains of Wyoming.

With this duo, she is indulging a long-held yearning: Sing the music she likes the way she likes with a pianist who shares her musical tastes. It gives her the chance to perform many types of songs in a style shes never done before so the vocals really stand out.

DAN (pianist) counts himself fortunate for inheriting the musical sensibilities of his mother and his grandfather, who in his day also accompanied a singer. Dan has blended classical training with an ability to play by ear.

A news reporter by trade, he has performed everywhere from an airplane hangar, cruise ship and Army base to fine restaurants, the Minnesota State Fair, the Minnesota governors office and the presidents residence at the University of Minnesota.

A reviewer put it this way: He weaves poetically distinctive counterpoint into each individual theme (all improvisation and not twice alike)His rhythm is bedrock, his nuance carefully and soulfully contrived. Although he plays sans affectation, Wascoe obviously lives and feels what he does.

He helped found the duos Two Spruce and Sharone & Company, and his original music has been performed on Twin Cities-area radio and TV and by school choirs. He has written songs for special occasions as well as tunes based on current events. He also is a volunteer bell-player at Minneapolis City Hall.

With this duo he works on developing tasteful, understated arrangements that complement her stylings.
