I am writing this letter for both Jay and I and also for Alicia and John Donovan, the newlyweds. Please pass on these words of thanks to the
rest of the Swing Train Band that played for us on Friday, June 7, 2002 at the Historic Courthouse in Stillwater.
What fun we had! Swing Train was fabulous and we want you to know we received many compliments from others at the reception. You were
sensitive to our needs (music volume accommodated the elderly at the reception) and showed a high degree of professionalism. You were very flexible when my
brother-in-law sang 'The Way You Look Tonight' in spite of the fact that you never practiced with him! You were also flexible when the groomsmen, maid-of-honor,
father of the bride, etc. took time away from your playing to say a few words. The night was too short for many of us and we could have danced another hour or
two.
Please feel free to use us as a reference for anyone! We would be more than happy to share our wonderful experience. We hope we can find
another event for the future so we can invite you back.

Dear Steve,
We wanted to write to thank you for the marvelous performance by you and Swing Train at our wedding reception this July. If we hadn't been
traveling almost since the moment the wedding reception ended, we would have written sooner.
I have to say, you played to a very tough audience. Out of 150 guests, almost 25 are or have been professional musicians (including myself).
Consequently, it was very important to me to have a group that was of the highest musical quality. Also, as a performer, I am aware of how difficult it can be
to play appropriate types of music at the appropriate level at various stages in an evening so that it supports the events of the evening rather than intruding
on or overtaking them. In all aspects, Swing Train's performance was an enormous success. You played in a manner that was designed to appeal to everyone, from
the 18 year olds who though they would be too cool to dance (but couldn't resist), to the 95 year old church elders. And you played behind one of my best men
with apparent delight when he took the mike.
You handled every detail with extreme professionalism, taste and style. Everyone, including my wife and I, were completely delighted with
you and we haven't stopped congratulating ourselves on our good taste in selecting Swing Train. Months after our wedding guests are still raving about the
reception and the music. In short, if this isn't sufficient recommendation, you can feel free to call my wife and I anytime for our enthusiastic endorsement.
